About

At Elm Hill Vineyard & Winery, we believe wine is more than a beverage, it is a tangible magic and a remarkable representation of nature. Every glass poured emulating the intricacies of the soil, the vine, and the people involved in its creation. Founded by brothers Craig and Derek Mager, Elm Hill has been built on a sense of tradition, sustainability, and an urge to create something to share from the land we call home .

We began in 2014 with little more than a blurry vision for the future and an urge to change course. We wanted to create something that utilizes the land we call home and something we can pass on to continue to grow for generations to come. By 2015, we planted our first vines, and by 2017, our vineyard was home to Riesling, Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, and Cabernet Franc. We are committed to our vineyard, striving to showcase Northeast Pennsylvania’s potential for growing exceptional fruit.

At Elm Hill, we aim to create wines that embody the distinct terroir of our region. Through sustainable practices and careful vineyard stewardship, we cultivate grapes that capture the essence of our land. Each vintage is a reflection of our dedication, crafted to reveal a balance of character, complexity, and a genuine sense of place.

Every bottle from Elm Hill tells a story, one of brotherhood, perseverance, and an enduring love for the art of winemaking.
